How does installation work?

Installation happens in two phases. First, Lehi City's network operator (Strata Networks) runs fiber from the street to the outside wall of your home - you do not need to be home for this. Second, Intellipop schedules your inside installation, where we place the fiber modem inside your home. If the distance from the exterior connection point to your modem location is 45 feet or less, the inside install is completely free. If you need a longer run - up to 150 feet - there is a flat $200 fee for that advanced installation. Either way, we handle all the coordination.

Who do I contact if my internet goes down?

Intellipop, 24/7, at 801-851-1770. We resolve the vast majority of issues directly. If something is outside our control on the network infrastructure side, we will contact Lehi City and Strata on your behalf so you never have to play phone tag.

Most Lehi installs run about 2-3 weeks from signup to live WiFi. Lehi City crews run fiber to the outside of your home first, then Intellipop schedules the inside install shortly after. Most of the timeline is scheduling on the network side, not our end, and we push to keep things moving as fast as the city can get out.

Do I need your WiFi router, or can I use my own?

Your call. We offer managed WiFi for $12.95 per month, where we handle setup, firmware updates, and ongoing support. Or you can bring your own WiFi router and plug it into the modem via Ethernet. For self-owned hardware, we typically recommend the Asus AX or AC lines. They are reliable, well-supported, and handle gigabit-plus speeds without issues.
